Career Fair Details for Employers

 

Your registration shows the specific events for which you are registered. Here are the final details for all events below:

 

In-person Career Fair on February 12 (11am-3pm at the Kansas Union):

 

  • Arrival: Please arrive at the Mississippi Street Parking Garage (entrances at 1201 Oread Ave and across from 1301 Mississippi Street). Drive through the garage until you see us if you need help unloading items from your vehicle. If you do not need to unload items, park anywhere in the garage and proceed directly to your booth on the 4th and 5th and 6th floors of the Kansas Union. We will be ready for your arrival starting at 8am. The parking garage may fill up so come early if you have mobility concerns. Overflow parking is at the football stadium and your parking registration is good there too.
  • Please complete free parking pre-registration for the career fair any time before you park. It is electronic, you do not need to print anything. We can help you at the career fair info booth if you need help. Click on Purchase Event Permit and proceed.   • When you arrive in the garage, we are happy to tell you your Booth Number/Room/Floor Number and how to proceed to the fair. We will provide breakfast snack items and coffee in the hospitality room on each floor. Students will be in attendance at the fair from 11am to 3pm.
  • Lunch: At lunchtime, each recruiter can pick up a $15 lunch card at the info table on your floor. Dining options are located on the third floor and are open from 8am-7pm.
  • Cancellation: If you cancel on or after February 1st, you will not receive a refund.
  • Nametags: Please enter the names of your reps in your Handshake registration by February 1st so that we can make nametags. Your nametags will be waiting for you at your booth. If you need another nametag or if you need a red alumnus ribbon for your nametag, let the staff know at the info booth on your floor. You may have three representatives per table (6-ft long).
  • Booth Assignments: We do not have CFPlus this year so we will assign booths. You will see the booth number on Handshake. All booths have electricity (except even numbers from 502-514).  The map will be available on the Handshake App, which students will be using in lieu of a paper booklet for company overviews and map. Maps can be seen in the section below on this webpage.
  • SHIPPING DETAILS: Display or booth materials shipped in advance must arrive no earlier than February 3rd. Displays must be shipped out no later than 6pm on February 12, when UPS and FedEx are scheduled to pick up. The Kansas Union assesses a $5 per day per box fee for any packages arriving or leaving outside of these dates.

Next-day Interviews (9am-5pm at the Burge Union):

We will be at the Burge Union (1565 Irving Hill Road) starting at 8am for Next-Day Interviews.

 

  • If you will be conducting Next-day Interviews, please schedule interviews yourself.
  • If you want to participate or cancel participation in Next-day Interviews, just let us know at the info booth on the day of the fair. We are flexible.
  • Parking for Next-Day Interviews: Park at Allen Fieldhouse Garage and head to the Burge Union. Please complete free parking pre-registration any time before you park. It is electronic, you do not need to print anything. Click on Purchase Event Permit and proceed. In the spring: Game Night on February 11th (5:30-7:30pm in LEEP2 2415)

  • Park south of LEEP2 in lot 54 for free after 5pm.
  • Pizza will be provided.

In the fall: Evening with Industry on September 16th (5:30-8:30pm in the Burge Union):

  • Registration is required. There is a $300 fee per table. You can park for free in the surface lot east of the Burge or south of the engineering building starting at 5pm. We will email you the agenda on September 1st. Business formal attire please.
