6:00 PM  Burge Union Forum CD

Evening with Industry is an annual dinner hosted by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) supported by IHAWKe, and the Engineering Career Center (ECC) the night before the Fall Engineering & Computing Career Fair.  It is an opportunity for students and employers to meet, network and share information prior to the career fair.

Students

Engineering & Computing students get an exclusive opportunity to interact with prospective employers in small groups prior to the career fair. Pre-registration is required. There is no cost for students, but they must register in advance on the ECC home page.

The evening includes time to mingle and a formal dinner. Student seating is assigned based on major, class level, and registration date.

KU Engineering and computing students at all academic levels are welcome and strongly encouraged to attend. Seating is limited. Dress is business attire.

Employers

Evening with Industry is an excellent opportunity for employers to let potential candidates know what makes their organization stand out while building real connections with KU students. The dinner atmosphere allows students to ask questions that are really important to them. Students are seated according to their company preferences and/or major as much as possible.

The employer registration fee for Evening With Industry takes place in registration for the fall career fair, which includes one table for each company and dinner for up to two representatives. Space is limited to 30 companies.

A $100 fee will be added to the company invoice for the fair if the company no shows or cancels within 48 hours of the event.
