Join the Engineering Career Center on a quest to explore the career you have dreamed of!
Come with us to learn from engineers about daily life on the job and see what they do. Suitable for all levels of undergraduate and graduate students. This year, we are visiting:
Fall Break
October TBD at 8am: Travel to General Motors Fairfax Assembly and Stamping Plant in Kansas City, Kansas. Most suitable for mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering majors. We will return to LEEP2 by 1pm.
October TBD at 9:30am: Tour the Berry Global plastics manufacturing facility here in Lawrence. Most suitable for mechanical engineering majors. We will return to LEEP2 by 1pm.
Winter Break
January TBD at 12:15pm: Learn about the production of airplane parts at McFarlane Aviation in Baldwin City. Most suitable for mechanical and aerospace engineering majors. We will return to LEEP2 by 4pm.

These events are free. We have limited capacity. We will let you know if you are registered or on the waiting list. Dress is casual for a working manufacturing setting. We will let you know if there are specific dress guidelines for the facility you are visiting.
