Gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation are often integral parts of one's identity for persons on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. Although progress is being made through advocacy and action groups as well as legislation, navigating the LGBTQIA+ identity and how it relates to one's career development can be a challenging process. The resources here are provided to support LGBTQIA+ individuals both professionally and personally. Feel free to contact a career advisor if you have more questions.

Coming out in the Workplace

The coming out process is one that is deeply personal to the LGBTQIA+ community and can pose some challenges which may vary based on company culture, location, and individual factors. The resources here are to help both LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies to navigate these challenges and find support within the workplace. You can also meet with a career advisor at any time to address any questions and concerns you may have.
